The breed you love the most

Well I took the plunge and I had Amy clipped short. Although it was a little shorter than I wanted it is growing, and I am so glad I did.
Amy is a different girl she is so much happier, we can go to the beach every day and she loves going in and swimming and the best bit she only has to have a quick shower when we get home. she is so cuddly just like a teddy bear. It has been interesting when we meet people mixed reactions from how cute she looks and is she a puppy to some say how could you do that to her, but I really feel that she is happier not having to be brushed I could have perservered but although I love to see beardies with their full coat Amy looks just great short I don't regret it and I know my Amy is happier.

We did the same thing with Cooper's hair because it was getting so dirty, messy and difficult to maintain now that spring is here. I miss his long hair, but he is cute and cuddly like your Amy, and seems happy. Here's a pic of his hair cut. :-)

Would you mind if I ask how you explained to the groomer how you wanted your dog's hair cut? I, too, would like a "puppy cut" for my dog but can't find anyone who knows how that should be properly done.

As a groomer if someone came to me and asked for a puppy cut/teddy bear cut I go through it with them to establish exactly how short or long, same length all over and what they want me to do with the tail and head. I dont mind if the client shows me a picture of what they want but do explain to them that every dog is different and the finnished cut may not look exactly the same.

I actually had no idea it was going to turn out as short as it did, but he looks very cute and he's much easier to keep clean now that it's summer. He has a 2 inch cut all over (with the clippers I think). His face is kind of a snauzer look... I wish she had left his beard a little longer actually. He is a Bearded Collie after all! :-) Anyway, here's a picture if you want to show the groomer something.
