Just wondering what kind of vacuums beardie owners use. We have been through a couple different ones that definitely don't hold up to beardie hair!! We are thinking about buying a Dyson since they are supposed to be the best ones.

I too use a Dyson upright and have done for many years now. Certainly copes with the hair, but you do need to "defluff" the brush regulalry as the long beardie hairs get wrapped around it!
I've got a Miele, I prefer it to the dyson i used to have, it was forever getting blocked in bizarre places! The Miele is just as powerful, and less of a pain to deblock.
I have a Vax V-006 Turboforce Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner. I have found it to be a very effective and powerful cleaner. It coped very well with the hair of my late Beardie Charlie. You can see reviews of it at:
Thanks to everyone for their inputs. We actually broke down and bought the Dyson Animal last weekend and I love it. It is amazing how much hair our other vacuum wasn't picking up. Hopefully we will have many more years with it!!
