- How many Bearded Collies do you have?
- We have just one Bearded Collie, call Alfie, he has come from the rescue Centre via Warrington.
- How long have you owned Bearded Collies?
- Alfie is being with us now for 4.5 years.
- About Me:
- I am german national and since 1983 living in this in the north of England in Cumbria.
I work for the MOD Police, live in a cottage out in the sticks and we have a large garden where our fury friend can run about to his heard delight.
My fiancee Jan and I are together for 16 years now, and love our bearded collie dearly !

Sorry did not manage to write again, work matters spoilt my evening but i should have look later one.
I thought that all beardies like being photographed ?
As they are such great characters you never know what happens next.
As you noticed, Alfie has a shorter haircut and that is as he not makes a bee line round muddy puddles or any obstructions so we keep it that way for easier maintenance . The day he got brought to us ( he is from Beardie rescue and welfare service ) he was absolutely shaven short, they must have known why. But we tried the full beardie look but the after the knots got out of hand we met half way. What do you do to keep the knots out his fur ? As he is a show dog how does George like it ?

good to hear from you, i like your pics of alfie :)
george is well. i washed brushed and blow-dried him on friday for the Bearded Collie Clubs Southern Counties summer day. his shampoo worked really well (plushpuppy) and he got a rosette for 2nd most handsome boy :D

I use PlushPuppy Evening Primrose Shampoo and PlushPuppy Silk Protein Conditioner. I have only recently bought them but a friend with 5 beardies recommended it and it is good so far. Mind you, nothing stops the ginger beard! :D
