Luke and Lorelai turned six months old today. Their coats have completely changed from black to a bluish gray. The silky baby black is all gone! Lorelai's coat is short and thick. Poor Luke's coat still look's a littlle scruffy - his is coming in a little more slowly. They both love to be brushed though so that is a good thing! Lorelai seems to enjoy it the most so it must be a girl thing! They look so pretty all dressed up with their colorful bandanas. At least until they manage to team up and… Continue

Gleder oss! Continue

THE TOUCH OF A DOG REACHES BEYOND
My Maizie Marbles McGraw is a Bearded Collie...the third of her kind in my family. Preceding her were "Noodle" and "Tulip", cousins who lived long wonderful lives until they were sixteen years old and tired of life...they are buried in our back yard near a large pine tree, once a Christmas tree in our house. They are not forgotten and will always be remembered for their loving… Continue
Thumper was our very first Beardie. He was originally my sister's dog and came from breeders at Little London, near Basingstoke. He was the last one of the litter to be taken, but to us he was the best one. When my sister and her husband went to live abro… Continue

I posted for advice on clipping a beardie. well i eventualy went for the shop, I am so glad I did as Amy is a different dog she has more energy and can swim in the sea as often as she likes, we go to the woods every day even muddy days and she comes home covered in mud as she loves to roll in wet mud but a quick shower and she is ready to lie and rest instead of a long shower and hours of brushing and drying she is a happier dog.
I do love the regular coat of the Beardie but clipped is just as n… Continue
