I (Carl) am a licensed herding instructor in Sweden, and I have trained beardies in herding since 1993 and the last few years I regularly hold herding clinics for bearded collie owners. I've two registered beardies that passed the swedish herding breeds association's test for 'qualified herding dog', two of about eight ever. I've never owned another breed and have no need for one. We have stopped showing almost altogether and the reason is that we feel that showing has done the breed no favors whatsoever. I am a firm believer in the working capacity of the bearded collie but am equally convinced that on the whole, that capacity is threatened by breeders general lack of attention to it. Boomtown beardies are bred for work and leisure, with the utmost care taken to blend the qualities of the sire and dam to produce offspring that are better than either.
I will travel anywhere to find an registered beardie with documented good hips, general health, working ability and temperament.

Well, good to hear that the dogs do the job as you says. It is too fare to drive from Bergen to You,but thank You so much anyway. Therefore it will be very exiting to try my dogs in herding a few miles from Bergen.
Hallo Calle! Christa Leisser from Vienna is speaking! You have heard from the bad hips of our Fuchi. We are so sad. We hoped of nice Puppies from Fuchi and Meg. But - under this circumstances..... It`s a real shame.
But nevertheless, we are looking forward to see you in Austria this year.
So long
Christa and Fuchi

Why do you check your inbox (the narrow black menu with an envelope and small human icon at the top of the page)? I am sure you have many friend requests :o)

It isn't so close... I live in south part of Poland, so you have to go about 600 km more. But of course you are welcome :-))
Just get some dogs together, find a group of sheep that we can play with and invite us... :-) Poland is not far from us - just a little ferry ride away.

Hello Carl and Sussie,
I'm impressed by your herding work. Unfortunately in Poland we haven’t many people like you. Were you not thinking about moving here? ;-)
